Case study: Ethernet test cable for the Royal Navy's new destroyer

A recent example is the provision of an ethernet test cable system for a new naval radar system supplied to the Royal Navy on the latest type of destroyer.

Our engineers, working closely with the clientís design and manufacturing centres, utilised COTS technology whilst ensuring the high levels of reliability required for such a vital part of the shipís detection and defence capabilities.

The multi-function radar also forms a vital part of the PAAMS weapon system employed on the new Type 45 destroyer. This system provides surveillance tracking, dedicated tracking and anti jamming capability and will be at the vanguard of the Navy for many years.
